For Rights Holders

This page is the contact point for publishers, copyright holders, authors, illustrators, and their representatives or agents who wish to request the removal of a cover image, or the removal or correction of bibliographic data, shown in TumuBook.
We accept enquiries in English and Japanese.

TumuBook is a service for finding books, keeping a record of what has been read, and recommending what to read next. The bibliographic data we display (title, author, publisher, publication year, description and similar fields) and the cover images shown alongside it are obtained from external book databases. Where that data comes from is set out on the page below.

Where Our Book Data Comes From

We display a cover image in order to introduce the book to readers and to help them obtain a copy of it. The cover serves as the means by which a reader identifies the book and reaches its bibliographic information and the ways of obtaining it.
Where the ISBN is known, we show links for finding that book in a library or a bookshop. Those links carry no affiliate tags.

If you are a rights holder and would like a cover image removed, or bibliographic data removed or corrected, please write to us at the address below.

To ask us to stop displaying a cover image, please email us with the following information:
- The ISBN of the book (13-digit or 10-digit)
- The title of the book
- What you are requesting (for example, removal of the cover image)
- Your relationship to the work (for example, publisher, copyright holder, author, illustrator, or authorised representative)
- Your contact details (your name or the name of your organisation, and an email address)

If your request covers more than one title, a single email with a list is fine.
Once we have confirmed the request, we will promptly stop displaying the cover image, and it will no longer appear anywhere in TumuBook.

The same address handles bibliographic data. If a title, author name, description or other detail is wrong, or if you would like an entry removed, please email us with the following information:
- The ISBN of the book (13-digit or 10-digit)
- The title of the book
- The detail that is wrong, and the correct value if you are asking for a correction
- What you are requesting (removal or correction)
- Your relationship to the work
- Your contact details (your name or the name of your organisation, and an email address)

We will review your request and act on it promptly.
